The third weekend in March saw us go to Talladega, Alabama to drive at the renowned 2.66 mile track. While there we also took the opportunity to visit the Motrosports Hall of Fame. We also made a quick stop at Stone Mountain on our way back to the airport. Enjoy the photos. |

Once again in November we were blessed to be able to spend a restful 2 1/2 weeks on the Garden Island of Kauai. Our activities included the usual snorkeling, taking walks, enjoying the warm tropical breezes, and the wonderful sunsets. Due to management changes this will probably be our final annual stay at Poipu Kapili. We are so grateful for having had the chance to visit this island and all the memories that we have from here. Katherine was able to join me for her first trip to Oberursel. We left home on Dec 28th 2014 and so arrived just 5 days following the birth of our first grandson, Matthew. What a blessing it was to hold him. This photo gallery contains just some of the memories we had from our time there. Enjoy! |

During the 3rd week of August, Katherine and I took a week to getaway to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Pictures included in this gallery are from the Lake Tahoe area, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City, the National Auto museum in Reno, and a Reno Aces baseball game. |

On May 20th we left for what was a memorable 22 day trip to Europe to visit family and friends. Our travels took us to Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany. As in March of 2012, we returned again to Florida in Feb of 2013. This time we reversed the 2012 order as we spent the first part of the trip with family in St Petersburg before driving to St George Island for a family get together. Some of the side trips we took were to the WW2 museum in Carrabelle as well as a stop at Busch Gardens in Tampa. Click the link to the left to view the photos from the trip. |

From March 9th to the 24th we spent in the northern part of Florida. The first nine days were spent at St George Island on the Gulf coast for a family gathering. The last part of the trip was spent visiting family in the St Petersburg area. Our time in Florida included some stops along the way as well as a trip south to Sarasota to see the Ringling Brothers museum. Click the link to the left to view the photos from the trip. |

On Jan30th we departed for Holland to share in the events surrounding the wedding of Nate and Becky. We stayed in the town of Delft, but managed to venture out braving the cold temperatures to see some of the local sites. Some of these sites included Prinsenof museum, the old and "new" churches, and the Delfts Pauw which is a local pottery factory from the 17th century. On August 15 we travelled to Strafford, MO for the Burrall Family Reunion, held at the home of Pat & Cecelia Burrall. Click on the link to the left to see a slideshow of pictures taken. While in Missouri, we also visited the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, toured Joplin, and visited the Fantastic Caverns of Springfield. |

Once again we attended the California Bible Conference in Yosemite Valley for a week from July 9-16, 2011. The weather was gorgeous for the entire week with temps mostly in the low to mid 70's. Due to the tremendous snow fall this past year, the falls were all spectacular. As before, we enjoyed touring the vallley floor on our bicycles. Bob took yet another hike to the top of Yosemite Falls. Special thanks to Katherine for her efforts on meal planning and all those who helped prepare the wonderful food we all enjoyed. |

As the heading implies, this was my second trip to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA . As was the case last year it was a wonderful experience. I have combined our still photos along with the video in this presentation. Enjoy!! |

On July 26, 2010 we embarked on a road trip that would take us through 5 states and almost 4000 miles, over 30 days. Along the way we would have the opportunity not only to see the beauty of God's creative hand, but share some memorable moments with family and friends. Once again we attended the California Bible Conference in Yosemite Valley for a week from July 11-17, 2010. The weather was gorgeous for the entire week. As before, we enjoyed touring the vallley floor on our bicycles. Bob took another group on a hike up to Glacier Point towards the end of the week . And we had a very special 80th birthday celebration for Bob's father, Fred, at the Awahnee Hotel. June 19th for my 50th, birthday, that's right Five Zero, Katherine surprised me with a birthday present which would take us down to the Speedway in Fontana, CA and put me behind the wheel of a used Sprint Cup series car to take a ~160mph spin 26 times around the 2 mile track. We have returned once again to the island of Kauai. This evening we have been enjoying watching a fantastic lightshow from our storm system which has been circulating around the Hawaiian Islands. These pictures were taken during a recent trip to the Monterey Area. We were joined by some friends from Fairhaven Bible Chapel, Ron & Lorene Chin. We stayed at the Martine Inn B&B which is located in Pacific Grove, CA. In addition to the beautiful scenery, we were treated to many old classic cars which were in town that week. Enjoy the pictures.

Once again we were priviledged to spend a week in Yosemite in July. The weather was great. Enjoy some pictures of our time. Hats off to Becky who made her third trip to Half Dome in helping accompany someone else who really wanted to go. My father, at age 79, completed a hike with me up to Glacier Point. I'm impressed!!

This year for year 11 we stayed much closer to home. This was actuallly 2 trips combined into one. The trip included a stay at Lake Tahoe, followed by a trip south on 395 to 120 where we went over the Tioga Pass entrance to Yosemite National Park. Neither of us have been over Tioga pass before, and we weren't disappointed. Enjoy the pictures.

This years Yosemite Bible Conference was held July 13-19 and once again we were able to get a housekeeping unit due to a last minute cancellation. In addition to the conference, other activities included bicycling around the valley, volleyball on the "beach" by the Merced River, and a couple of hikes. The hikes were to upper Yosemite falls which I have done 3 times before and the other was to Glacier Point which was a first for me. While the hike to Glacier Point is longer (4.8 miles to 3.5 miles) and higher (3200ft to 2800ft) I thought it was the easier of the 2. It certainly had more Kodak moments. Katherine and my mom once again did a great job of plannning and preparing meals which were enjoyed by all. Click the picture link to the left to see slide shows of our time in Yosemite.

Once more we were privileged to spend time May 16- June 1on the island of Kauai. This time however we had a small job to do providing meal support for a group of 10, which included Kath and I. This still left plenty of time to catch some beach and snorkeling time. Most of the time we just spent relaxing and enjoying the beauty of our surroundings. April 25 2008 we celebrated our 10th anniversary by making a return trip to the Pacific south seas. This time however we decided on a 10 day cruise as a way to explore more of the Tahitian islands. We were very impressed with the experience aboard the Regent Seven Seas cruise ship the Paul Gaugin. Click on the picture link to your left to see a slideshow of our trip.
